Détails

Québec Kitchen Abroad is a richly illustrated cookbook that
celebrates Québec’s culinary heritage through my perspective as
an expat and my creative lens.

The recipes were developed and photographed in my Australian
High Country home studio, while the stories and cultural context
were shaped by memory, distance, and continued visits to Québec.

Rooted in French-Canadian comfort food, this book brings iconic,
simple and accessible dishes and traditions to life with authenticity,
while offering English-speaking readers outside
La Belle Province a
rare window into Québec’s food culture.

The first print run of the hardcover edition is now in transit to
Australia and Québec. General sales will open on June 24, 2026.
A limited number of copies will also be available in Québec
during my visit from late August to late September.

In this book, you’ll learn:

  • How pure maple syrup is produced and its natural benefits

  • How to host a traditional sugar (maple) shack party

  • An overview of the Boreal forest foraging culture and cuisine

  • How to create an authentic poutine from scratch

  • How to make cheese curds at home

  • Québec’s unique culinary traditions across all seasons

  • Montréal’s gastronomic highlights for low-budget eats

  • How to bake Montréal-style bagels in a conventional oven

— and so much more!
