In 2017, in response to the wave of Syrian immigration to Canada, Adelle Tarzibachi co-founded the social enterprise Les Filles Fattoush, whose mission is to offer refugees work experience by leveraging their culinary skills. Since then, some thirty Syrian women have taken turns in her kitchen, finding a renewed sense of joy in this welcoming space. Today, she gives us a glimpse of their beloved homeland by sharing Syria's most iconic dishes, from mezze and fragrant grilled meats to special occasion meals and sweet treats. This book offers more than 80 recipes.
